Islam = EPIC FAIL

From the Guardian:

"AN ISLAMIST rebel administration in Somalia ordered that a girl, 13, be stoned to death for adultery after the child's father reported that she was raped by three men."

Look, I know Christian sects can do some crazy s*** sometimes. But in none of the ones I've ever heard of do one thousand people get together and throw heavy rocks at the head of a 13-year-old girl who has just been gang-raped.

Yeah yeah, people can talk about the crusades, the Catholic church abuses, crazy sect leaders. But for real. FOR REAL. This is worse. Because it's not silently condoned or tolerated. It's done with the full force of the law.

Islamic government as a system of law? Is severely flawed. I believe irreparably so.

If I could pretend that these things weren't happening to actual people, I'd be tempted to give up on certain parts of the world altogether. West and East Africa would be straight to the top of the list. But there are millions of people just trying to make lives for themselves and there are some sick old men (and some sick women too) who are perpetuating crimes against humanity.

I truly hope they die in horrible ways. Hopefully after they've realised how bad they've been, of course. But still, horrible death. Preferably involving scorpions.
