I was thinking about talking about the boat people issue, but decided against it. Basically because I think it's pretty clear the change in policy has directly influenced the number of boats coming our way.
So what's to talk about? Eventually Rudd will a) return to Howard's policies (which is how he got elected in the first place), b) find some sort of middle ground that makes it harder for people smugglers to get here, or c) resign himself to the fact we'll probably see another SIEV-X and a few hundred more deaths.
