The most hilarious clip I've seen on the internet in a while



Oh dear. I particularly enjoy:
- The Evil Suited Man
- The Magical Knowledge and Powers of Children
- Knowing I have less than 10 years (maybe four!) before I reach a "fatal point"!
- The chanting. "Sieg heil! Sieg heil!" Or maybe it's "Act now!" It's hard to tell.

It's cute, but it's come too late. The EU is backing away from emissions laws faster than the seas rise in this ad. Australia seems to be pushing ahead with it, but we'll see how that goes once power prices shoot up here. Our own power provider in Tassie said the other day that prices would (and I quote) "skyrocket". I think even the most well-intentioned greenie would struggle to find the bright side of paying several thousand dollars more a quarter for their power.

Whatever you think of global warming/climate change/drought/El Nino, it's quite clear that the Global Financial Crisis has scuttled the majority of carbon emission schemes. Maybe we could spend a tiny bit of that money on eradicating world hunger instead, or getting everyone clean drinking water. Just a thought.

I guess I come from a different school of thought. The School of Global Warming sees humans as a pest, a parasite, threatening the 'natural' balance of the planet. I see humans as something a bit better than that. And besides, what's to say if we humans weren't here that the cows and pigs wouldn't have dominated the planet? All that methane would have killed the earth centuries ago! Heh.

Of course, if the dolphins ever get in charge then we're screwed. They've never forgiven us for "Flipper".
