She's released three albums in three years, sure. But mostly just to back up her impressive output of singles.
So far she's had 12 songs in the US Top 40 since 2005. I can't think of another artist who has had that sort of impact in recent times.
Pon De Replay
SOS
Unfaithful
We Ride
Break It Off
Umbrella
Shut Up And Drive
Don't Stop The Music
Take A Bow
Disturbia
Rehab
Plus she featured in:
If I Never See Your Face Again (Maroon 5)
Live Your Life ( T.I.)
She may have a history of terrible fashion choices, but she is undeniably popular.
I think this is the trend of the future. The growth of iTunes has shown artists they can put out good songs and people will buy them online.
