Orson Scott Card wrote Ender's Game, I think. Anyway he's quite a good writer. He reviews heaps and heaps of random stuff, from movies, to books, to furniture, to the service provided by his local Pottery Barn delivery service. He also writes columns but I haven't really had a good look at those.
