She-Hulk - Jennifer Walters

"Please let me slip on this ice. PLEASE let me slip on this ice!"

She-Hulk
Jennifer Walters - Marvel

The hot female counterpart to the Hulk. Bush ain't the only one who know something about preemptive strikes. In 1980, Stan Lee and Marvel decided to publish their own She-Hulk in case the TV Network showing The Incredible Hulk decided to go all Lindsey Wagner on them and come up with a She-Hulk that Marvel couldn't control. So in this day and age, it was inevitable, like Super Girl and all the other poor female characters who owe their existence to their male counterpart. I want to make a character named Man-Man so when the TV show spins off they have to name their hero "Man-Woman". It could cater to a whole slew of new readers waiting for their hero(ine) to come along. But I digress.

"Why Bruce! That IS Incredible"
So I guess they wanted to make sure they never had to delve into the whole "Hulk and She-Hulk should totally hook up!" meme that would inevitably ensue in every geek forum from here to a certain nuclear testing ground. So they made the new and improved, female version of the Hulk into Bruce Banner's cousin. NON-kissing cousin, my friends in the south. She got shot by a crime boss (pesky crime bosses, always creating new super heroes by mistake), and Bruce happened to be in town (pesky coincidences, always moving the plot forward...). So he transfused his blood to save her life, and voila! She-hulk was "born".

So should Bruce Banner go to jail for knowingly passing his blood, in full tainted condition, to someone else?

Anyway, She-Hulk went on to battle lots of foes and acquit herself worth of being a super-hero in her own right, male-derived pseudonym notwithstanding.

I  waiting for the "What If?" story where Jennifer and Bruce don't know they are cousins when he gives her the transfusion. They could hire George to write that one.

She-Man? Spider-Hulk?
Anyway, She-Hulk is one of those better known babes, so there's lots of happy images of her in skimpy clothes all over the web. This is just a taste for ya. Hope you enjoyed!

Mantis - Marvel

Mantis
From Marvel

Another green superhero. A hot, antennaed superhero. Who, like a preying mantis, eats her mate after they've done the deed. OK, maybe not the last part. But seriously, Marvel must have been at a bit of an impasse for new characters when they came up with this chickie. Not that, ultimately, we mind, because it's more fodder for our color skinned loving selves.

Mantis was an Avenger (who hasn't been, really? I wonder if there's a list of all the former Avengers and SHIELD operatives. It must include about 90% of all the heroes. Seriously. Whatever happened to standards?).

OK, easily offended better leave for this next paragraph. See, Mantis is half Vietnamese, half German. Which would explain why in some of the pictures she seems less green and more half-yellow.

Bah dum bum.

OK, easily offended can start reading again.

She tried hooking up with the Vision, she tried hooking up with the Swordsman, who died right after she proclaimed her love (see comment above. Did YOU see the Swordsmans body on the autopsy table?

But perhaps the most interesting thing about Mantis is that she hasn't just worked for Marvel - she's had work in both the DC as well as Eclipse and Image comic book universes as well. Which kind of makes me think of a roach - gets in everywhere, impossible to get rid of. Maybe Marvel missed the target with the name?

Well, that wraps up another episode of As The Hot Blue Chick Turns. Hope you enjoyed this weirdly hot insect chick. Just don't ask me to tell the insect chick joke that I've told in private company only. If you weren't offended by the half yellow comment above, you would almost definitely be offended by this one.

And last: Iron Man versus the Mantis!

Copycat - Marvel

Vanes

Vaness...

Va.

Vanessa Car

Jesus, I can't get it out.

Vanessa Carlysle. Sorry I kept stuttering there at the beginning, but that is what this chick does to my jaw. I mean, holy smokes. Copycat can keep me whenever she wants. And she knows where I live? Sweet. Hurry on over, and don't worry, I'll kick Mystique out before you get here.

Or maybe not. I mean, come on. How cool would it be to hook up with TWO shapeshifters? They could both become each other. Mystique could look like Copycat and Copycat could look like Mystique. Or they could both look like Copycat. Then you have to try telling them apart. Then, spin the dial and...Right Hand on Blue! Twister!!!

...

...

...

OK, back to the post.

Yeah, you want to know about her, she once posed as Domino for awhile. What would happen if Copycat as Domino ended up hooking up with Rogue and Rogue got Copycat's power to shapeshift and she turned herself into Domino and hooked up with Domino?

Ah, the possibilities are endless.

So, I'll be waiting for you to show up, Copycat.
Enough with the Ent metaphors.

Domino - Marvel

Domino and her well heeled partner Deadpool

I guess White Chicks are Hot too. Domino certainly is. I mean, come on. Hot body, deadly with weapons, big black eye. What else could you want in a woman? Hopefully not a desire to pull the trigger from a thousand yards away, with her rifle pointed at your noggin. Because this deadly markswoman wouldn't hesitant to complete the mission, if that mission was assassinating little old you.

Yeah, she was the leader of X-Force for a bit until it was discovered that she was really Copycat - another hot mutant who deserves a page(s) of her own. But that didn't stop her from being hot.

She's also had work with S.H.I.E.L.D., but who hasn't, really?

So when I was researching Domino for her post, I came across this video that was edited up by DramaMC. Give it a watch and tell me how hard it was for you before they got involved.

Yeah, pretty hot. Apparently this guy intended on creating a nice little video mashup to imply a certain somethin somethin. Read his description on the youtube page.

And if you got to this page searching Domino, the movie, thinking you were getting Keira Knightley, don't worry. I made the same mistake in reverse, thinking I was getting a movie about the Marvel character when I bought it. This is a movie about a bounty hunter on a reality TV show named Domino. Keira doesn't disappoint, so here you go.

Nocturne

Nocturne
From Marvel Comics

Talia Josephine "T.J." Wagner. The progeny of Nightcrawler and The Scarlet Witch. From an alternate reality, though. And a cool alternate, indeed. Not only do we get our favorite color chick out of the deal, she's badass with her super agility and skills inherited from her dad.

Also, she can possess other people. Yeah, make the joke. But since she also has some latent telepathy going on, you better be really careful what you think around her.

Don't get this Nocturne confused with the others, there were 3 others in the Marvel Universe, none of which are hot blue chicks. So if you go googling for more hot blue-retractable-tailed Nocturne action, it's not my fault if you end up finding some dude with a gun don't blame me.

Shadow Lass

Shadow Lass (Tasmia Mallor)
From Marvel Comics

Is it really nudity if the skin is blue? Not sure, but Marvel sure tests the notion with Shadow Lass. No complaints, mind. A throwback to the Frazetta era Conan chicks? A shameless attempt at luring in pubescent boys to the DC Universe? Both?

This chick is dark. Not dark blue, but shadow dark. Like summoning shadows. Projecting them. Controlling them. Ahh, she could control me any day.

Shadow Lass (Tasmia) is from Talok VIII,  a planet that is apparently populated with blue skinned Talokians. That might be one planet I would put on my itinerary when I start traveling across the galaxy. I betcha the Hitchhiker's Guide has a nice little write up on the planet.

Namora

Namora (Aquaria Nautica Neptunia)
From Marvel Comics

Namora. We'll excuse you if you're confused as to her appearance. Yes, she is sometimes pink-hued human tone. Sometimes she is blue skinned. You know our preference. Same thing with her mutant daughter clone Namorita - a skin color changer herself, although in Namora's case it seems to be an artistic preference. Namorita has the super ability to change her skin color.

Anyway, Namora is the cousin of Namor. Although that isn't strictly true, because they aren't related. We're not sure about that one ourselves. We are sure about one thing though - when Namor and Namora hooked up, we were rooting for the old fish. Could you blame him?

Namorita

Namorita
From Marvel Comics

The mutant daughter clone of Namora. Who is Namora? Namor's cousin! Well, not really, they aren't related, but that's neither here nor there. What IS here is a blue skinned aquatic babe who really has human colored (pink, so I don't fall into the "flesh" debacle that Crayola ran into a couple decades back) skin, but she can camouflage herself by changing her skin color. And let's just say Blue is Better.

Yes, she has wings on her ankles. That lets her fly. Well, "let" her fly, since she was nixed back at the start of the Super Hero Civil War. She was also super strong and could secrete toxins from her skin that let her paralyze people. Word to the wise: Don't tick her off before getting, uh, intimate with her.

Namorita was a member of The New Warriors, an otherwise obscure super hero team in the Marvel Universe. So if you haven't heard of her, don't feel bad. This is one mutant clone that is worth getting to know, though.

Mystique

Mystique (Raven Darkhölme)
From The X-Men

I'll do a lengthy review later. Probably add a gallery, too. It's just that Mystique is super popular, so really what is there to say? One of the finest inspirations for this blog in the first place.
