Featured Artist - J. Scott Campbell

Magnificient. Er, Maleficient.

Featured Artist - J. Scott Campbell
Official Site
Deviantart

This is the guy who ruins the Fairy Tales for ya. Yep, you'll never see Alice again without thinking about J. Scott Campbell's Alice. Or The Wicked Witch. Or The Little Mermaid. This is the guy who dresses them up as they should be - hot, sleek and ready to do Never Never Land. Or is that Never Never..., oh, never mind. You get the idea. So without further ado, here are a couple of beauts.

Alice in Wonderland. I wish I was that mushroom.
The Wicked Witch of OMGoz
The Little *ahem*maid
Besides ruining the above fairy tales for you, J Scott also will ruin a couple of your favorite already-hot hotties if you're not careful. How many of us have lusted after Mary Jane? And appreciated Todd for his amazing rendition, along with Erik Larsen? And yeah, I have to admit, I'm a sucker for Kirsten Dunst and even though she ain't a natural redhead, she did a fair job of pulling off MJ.

But...guh.

Crime, I'm afraid you're going to have to wait when I'm Spider-Man
And she's been done so many times and in so many ways...but I had to share this version with you.

Not your daddy's Slave Princess Leia. I wonder how many young boys would have imploded in 1983 if this was what Lucas dished up to us. Times have changed, indeed. Thankfully! So another one he's done that isn't going to ruin her, is Jessica Rabbit. And I guess in his version she counts as a red chick?

So anyway, I am so in love with this guy's art that I don't even really care who he is. Go look him up if you want more. And trust me, you want more.

Never say Never, James

She-Hulk - Jennifer Walters

"Please let me slip on this ice. PLEASE let me slip on this ice!"

She-Hulk
Jennifer Walters - Marvel

The hot female counterpart to the Hulk. Bush ain't the only one who know something about preemptive strikes. In 1980, Stan Lee and Marvel decided to publish their own She-Hulk in case the TV Network showing The Incredible Hulk decided to go all Lindsey Wagner on them and come up with a She-Hulk that Marvel couldn't control. So in this day and age, it was inevitable, like Super Girl and all the other poor female characters who owe their existence to their male counterpart. I want to make a character named Man-Man so when the TV show spins off they have to name their hero "Man-Woman". It could cater to a whole slew of new readers waiting for their hero(ine) to come along. But I digress.

"Why Bruce! That IS Incredible"
So I guess they wanted to make sure they never had to delve into the whole "Hulk and She-Hulk should totally hook up!" meme that would inevitably ensue in every geek forum from here to a certain nuclear testing ground. So they made the new and improved, female version of the Hulk into Bruce Banner's cousin. NON-kissing cousin, my friends in the south. She got shot by a crime boss (pesky crime bosses, always creating new super heroes by mistake), and Bruce happened to be in town (pesky coincidences, always moving the plot forward...). So he transfused his blood to save her life, and voila! She-hulk was "born".

So should Bruce Banner go to jail for knowingly passing his blood, in full tainted condition, to someone else?

Anyway, She-Hulk went on to battle lots of foes and acquit herself worth of being a super-hero in her own right, male-derived pseudonym notwithstanding.

I  waiting for the "What If?" story where Jennifer and Bruce don't know they are cousins when he gives her the transfusion. They could hire George to write that one.

She-Man? Spider-Hulk?
Anyway, She-Hulk is one of those better known babes, so there's lots of happy images of her in skimpy clothes all over the web. This is just a taste for ya. Hope you enjoyed!

Maria Maschinenmensch - Metropolis

Maria - Metropolis
Ahhhh, 1927. A great year for German expressionist films. Probably the most famous old school Sci-Fi movie, and the best known role of Brigitte Helm, who played Maria, the hot chick who the Machine Man was given the appearance of. I don't know if this was the first hot robot chick, but I haven't found any earlier references for my Metallic March series, so this is what you get.

I actually don't have that much to say about the movie or the chickie, but what I will say is that she has inspired me to start putting together a month of robot/android/gynoid/artificially constructed babes for the future. So I'm gonna get going and start searching out the best of the best for you, my loyal readers. Viewers. Pervs. Whatever.

I can't even begin to say how wrong this is.

St. Patrick's Day 2011

The girl might not be green, but the head is.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Yes, it's the time of year for another favorite color to be let out of the closet. Green! I tried as hard as I could to find some green skinned leprechaun chicks, but alas the best I came up with was a bunch of hot flesh-colored chicks in leprechaun outfits. So I thought I would share a couple of those, as well as talk about what St. Patrick's Day is all about.

First, the chicks.

A couple of chicks in Prague.

Yeah, I don't really know anything about St. Paddy's day. Just that you drink Green beer and wear Orange. If you really want to know the history, I would suggest a more serious site than mine.

And I will leave you with the only actual green skinned chick I was able to find - Jennifer Aniston in the 1993 hit movie, "Leprechaun". And that was just on the cover. She wasn't actually green in the movie. Jennifer isn't green. Except maybe with envy over Brad. Ooops, sorry - too soon?

Happy St. Paddy's Day!

Featured Artist - Adam Hughes

Featured Artist - Adam Hughes

Dude. I know I'm supposed to lead off with a colored chick. But dayum. Fett in ultimate glory. I'm a Fett fan, and lemme say this is my favorite. Hands down. So I had to lead off our Featured Artist for March with the Boba Fett. Anyways, I'll continue below with chicks. As soon as I get over the coolness of that pic.

...

...

OK, done.

Adam Hughes is probably best known for the Wonder Woman, but I prefer his Super Girl.

And again, I realize she isn't colored. But don't forget in her original form she's grey, so that's gotta count for something, right? But, we aren't here to talk about Super Girl (yet). We're here to talk about Adam Hughes. He's done a lot of comic book work, but also for other genres such as *ahem* adult magazines. Wink wink. The articles. Just the articles. And the Adam Hughes art.

But he has tackled several girls whom we adore, including Darth Talon and Aayla Secura.

Aayla Secura, Shaak Ti, and Barriss Offee

Darth Talon

Also, not sure if the other Twi'lek girl is Aayla or not (I don't think she is), this is a very nice picture regardless of who she is.

This one is a Catwoman. The title is S. Lee Catwoman. I'm not sure why she's blue. I don't remember Julie Newmar being blue.  I don't remember Michelle Pfeifferbeing blue. But it works. Especially the hair. Not so much the claws - too Lady Deathstrike looking for me. And how on earth would you brush your hair with those? Or take care of, erm, ahem. Family blog. Skip to the next lewd joke.

Whatever, I dig the blue Catwoman.

I couldn't decide on the last regular picture to include. It was a tossup between Black Cat, Princess Leia, or...the chosen pic - Emma Frost. Yeah. She works. Chick in White.

So, that about wraps up Adam Hughes. Check out his work, it's stylized and original in a lot of regards. I'm a big fan of most of his work (excluding his Wonder Woman, for some reason doesn't do it for me). And the last picture, well, those who get it get it.

Mantis - Marvel

Mantis
From Marvel

Another green superhero. A hot, antennaed superhero. Who, like a preying mantis, eats her mate after they've done the deed. OK, maybe not the last part. But seriously, Marvel must have been at a bit of an impasse for new characters when they came up with this chickie. Not that, ultimately, we mind, because it's more fodder for our color skinned loving selves.

Mantis was an Avenger (who hasn't been, really? I wonder if there's a list of all the former Avengers and SHIELD operatives. It must include about 90% of all the heroes. Seriously. Whatever happened to standards?).

OK, easily offended better leave for this next paragraph. See, Mantis is half Vietnamese, half German. Which would explain why in some of the pictures she seems less green and more half-yellow.

Bah dum bum.

OK, easily offended can start reading again.

She tried hooking up with the Vision, she tried hooking up with the Swordsman, who died right after she proclaimed her love (see comment above. Did YOU see the Swordsmans body on the autopsy table?

But perhaps the most interesting thing about Mantis is that she hasn't just worked for Marvel - she's had work in both the DC as well as Eclipse and Image comic book universes as well. Which kind of makes me think of a roach - gets in everywhere, impossible to get rid of. Maybe Marvel missed the target with the name?

Well, that wraps up another episode of As The Hot Blue Chick Turns. Hope you enjoyed this weirdly hot insect chick. Just don't ask me to tell the insect chick joke that I've told in private company only. If you weren't offended by the half yellow comment above, you would almost definitely be offended by this one.

And last: Iron Man versus the Mantis!

Marta the Orion Slave Girl

Marta the Orion Slave Girl
From Star Trek

Hubba, hubba. At least, that's what they said back in the day when Kirk locked lips with a green chick. While he wasn't the first man to kiss an alien looker, Kirk certainly did it with style. Orion slave girl. Mmmm.

I wonder if it's time to update the Jolly Green Giant into something more like this.

In the Original Star Trek Series (known to Trekkers as Star Trek: TOS), the Orions were first met in 2154. There are other Orion Slave Girls, but Marta is probably the best known (for obviously leggy reasons). Yvonne Craig portrayed Marta in TOS (see above if you've already forgotten what TOS stands for), but is better known for her role of Batgirl in the Batman TV series.

Blue Chick? Nope. Hot chick? YEP!
