Featured Artist - Adam Hughes

Featured Artist - Adam Hughes

Dude. I know I'm supposed to lead off with a colored chick. But dayum. Fett in ultimate glory. I'm a Fett fan, and lemme say this is my favorite. Hands down. So I had to lead off our Featured Artist for March with the Boba Fett. Anyways, I'll continue below with chicks. As soon as I get over the coolness of that pic.

...

...

OK, done.

Adam Hughes is probably best known for the Wonder Woman, but I prefer his Super Girl.

And again, I realize she isn't colored. But don't forget in her original form she's grey, so that's gotta count for something, right? But, we aren't here to talk about Super Girl (yet). We're here to talk about Adam Hughes. He's done a lot of comic book work, but also for other genres such as *ahem* adult magazines. Wink wink. The articles. Just the articles. And the Adam Hughes art.

But he has tackled several girls whom we adore, including Darth Talon and Aayla Secura.

Aayla Secura, Shaak Ti, and Barriss Offee

Darth Talon

Also, not sure if the other Twi'lek girl is Aayla or not (I don't think she is), this is a very nice picture regardless of who she is.

This one is a Catwoman. The title is S. Lee Catwoman. I'm not sure why she's blue. I don't remember Julie Newmar being blue.  I don't remember Michelle Pfeifferbeing blue. But it works. Especially the hair. Not so much the claws - too Lady Deathstrike looking for me. And how on earth would you brush your hair with those? Or take care of, erm, ahem. Family blog. Skip to the next lewd joke.

Whatever, I dig the blue Catwoman.

I couldn't decide on the last regular picture to include. It was a tossup between Black Cat, Princess Leia, or...the chosen pic - Emma Frost. Yeah. She works. Chick in White.

So, that about wraps up Adam Hughes. Check out his work, it's stylized and original in a lot of regards. I'm a big fan of most of his work (excluding his Wonder Woman, for some reason doesn't do it for me). And the last picture, well, those who get it get it.

Featured Artist - Samantha Meagan Bowe

Eirwen the Snow Queen. Shiver me timbers!

This month's featured artist is Samantha Meagen Bowe. I found this chick's artwork on a felf (if you don't know what a felf is, let me educate you. It's an elf with an adjective at the beginning. I'll give you a hint as to what the "f" stands for. It doesn't stand for "fun" or "fandango". Think about an aquatic bird, then I will tell you that I prefer dwarves. Still can't figure it out? Tough.) site called Elfwood. I initially intended on showcasing Eirwen, but then I had the bright idea to do a feature article on a different artist each month, that uses blue or other colors for their models. So here she is.

Samantha Meagan Bowe

Sammie, according to her Felfwood account, is a self-taught graphic artist using a couple of programs. Here is her desc of herself: "Samantha Started Computer Graphics about 4 years ago with Photoshop and got into 3D Art about 2 years ago with Poser and Vue 6 Esprit. Self taught but would like to take some classes to learn even more. Fantasy art is my favorite."

I wouldn't call her a Poser. Wait, that's the name of the program she uses. I would call her talented at making hot chicks Pose in graphic representations. Let's look at a couple now.

Tulip

"Tulip" is a purple haired chick with a bunch of face jewelry. Sammie seems to like the little gem things affixed to the faces of a bunch of her models, and I think she makes good use of them. Even a cute little heart in that pointy ear. And a couple of rings. And a nose ring. Well, nose stud. All brought forth with a terrific purple ensemble of colors.

I'm not sure about the cat eyes, they could be creepy in another situation but I guess on Tulip it just adds to her mystique (not that mystique). Not that she needs any help. Tulip could plant her tulips anywhere she wanted to in my garden.

Eternal Bloom
Next up is "Eternal Bloom". Now, this one is pretty and all, but I can't really figure out why she chose to call it eternal bloom. Do you think of cold blue images when you think of eternal blooming things? Not me. I think of warm green lush sorts of images. Maybe Sam is Siberian. Or maybe she thinks "bloom" means "freeze". Could be an ESL situation or something.

But EB (Eternal Bloom) has a great psychedelic theme going for it - the twisting column, the hidden symbols in the background, and the seemingly inappropriate title. But let's stop dwelling on the title and dwell on the blue hair, blue lips and pale skin. OK. Done with EB? Let's move on to my other favorite (Eirwen up top is my first favorite).

Come with me.

Come With Me. No, really. That's the title. Although I might want her to replace the "With" with another word that rhymes with "Don"

"Come With Me". I think the title just about says it all.

Samantha has some great artwork so far. I found her work on a couple of sites, but I haven't found more pictures than what she has on Elfwood. I think her composition is pretty good, and her models are uber-hot, but I think she focuses too much on the girls just standing there looking pretty and not enough on doing some action scenes. I would be more than willing to model with one of her creations in, shall we say, less than Prime Time appropriate scenes?

I couldn't decide if I should leave off with Allura the Elfin Enchantress, or Abby Sciuto (from NCIS). So, in the interest of giving more than less, here are both.

Abby Sciuto. I'd love to see her do Linda Fiorentino from Men in Black

Allura the Elfin Enchantress. Please, pick up your umbrella. Slowly. And bend at the waist, not the knees.

Jokerettes

If the Joker was a hot female, she would be these pictures. Because that's what the world needs - a psychotic white chick who just wants you to laugh at her jokes. And then die. Because describing a female Joker as a psychotic woman is like describing a three year old as an annoying three year old. Kind of redundant, don't ya think? (Of course, I just lost my scant female audience with that remark, but I'd rather lose the females than the males, so I'm ok with a few jokes at their expense).

So there have been a couple different female versions of the Joker that I've been able to find. The above picture is called "Lonely Girl" by a "Little Ghost", which I found on a random blog that doesn't attribute the picture to a source other than the title and artist name. But alas, I couldn't find more of Little Ghost's work. There very well be a whole series of hot Jokerette looking hotties somewhere on the internet, just waiting to be found.

Next up is Duela Dent as the Joker's Daughter. So she's some chickie who's claimed to be the Joker's Daughter, the Riddler's Daughter, and a bunch of other villain's daughters. I guess all the best jokerette's have daddy issues. Or daughter issues. I can't really keep track.

Now this is just some random chick on flickr that wants to be the joker. I put her up to show all you parents - don't let girls read comic books. This might be the result.

And finally, I do believe this is one of the signs of the apocalypse. A female version of the Joker, in Second Life. Like, I get being the Jokerette type in City of Heroes or Champions Online. But, isn't Second Life just some regular world that you cruise around and hang out and generally do a whole lot of nothing in? I guess if you're cruising for cyber-girls you could do worse than a jokerette. At least if she went psycho(er) on you, the worst she could do is kill your avatar.

But why even take that risk?

Featured Artist - Christel Eldrim

Featured Artist of the Month
Take me to your leader. I have something important to show him.

As near as I can tell, Estethia is the website of one Christel Eldrim, a photographer / photoshop artist from Sweden who photographs hot women and transforms them into hot artistic fairies or alien chicks.

I discovered her whilst searching for Blue aliens. I found the one above. A very clean, very intriguing alien woman who was pulling down her space-age robe.

Immediately intrigued, I discovered that this was a one-off photoshop of some really hot regular chick, it wasn't an actual photograph of a real blue alien chick being held in Area 51. I mean, they have to have SOME sort of entertainment out there all alone with maximum secrecy, right?

Um, digression. Sorry.

Back to Christel -

She uses a couple of different models and does very artistic shoots. And sexy. Very sexy. How do you say sexy in Swedish? Something with a bunch of zeroes hanging over the letters in random places, I'm sure. But we call it Estethia. However the heck you pronounce that.

Charleston
One of her best models, in our so humble opinion, is Alexandra. She appears on the Estethia website in several outfits, under the category Portrait> Alexandra. It doesn't seem to be possible to link directly to a picture page, or I would. It's up to you if you want to see more of this stunning brunette.

The image of her in the periwinkle dress is titled "Charleston". I don't know if Christel named the photo or if it was named by whoever's website I found it on. The Swedish site doesn't have titles, just numbers in the series.

Why a Swedish glamour photographer would be naming a picture after a city in South Carolina is beyond me. I guess it's the cultural sway of the deep South. Whatever the connection, I'm glad to see this shot, especially the pearl necklace. Very Belle.

Sous l'eau
Then there's the underwater beauty shot, named "Sous l'eau". Which translates loosely from the French as "I was fishing in the pond behind my house and caught this on my fishing line, so I pulled it from the water. That's the honest truth, officer".

I don't really think she is underwater though, any more than Samwise Astin was underwater in his drowning scene in Fellowship of the Rings, though. Although what we don't know won't hurt us.

The other pictures of Alexandra are as captivating as these, although without so much Blue in them. I'll leave Alexandra with one more shot - no title, just the number 11 in the series.

Picture #11 of 16. But who's counting?

Her other favorite model of ours is Mea. A fiery redhead, Mea appears in a series of Victorian feeling shots that I'm sure the Victorians would love to feel.
This counts as a White chick, I believe. Or Very Very Pale. Jonathan Harker wouldn't have a chance against this vixen. And face it, neither would you. Tick tock, tick tock. That's the sound of your life running out to meet this chick at the nearest blood bar for a quick cocktail.
I mean, I could start going on about composition and lighting and balance and all that artistic stuff. Or, I could just leave you with a final impression of Christel as an artist worthy of being put into the Hall of Fame for hot hot pictures. In fact, as the first Featured Artist of the Month, Christel should feel honored to be the inspiration for your viewing enjoyment.

"Should", I said. Not "Will".

I'm not saying there's so many more hot pics of these two hotties that you owe it to yourself to go visit her website, but if you don't, your friends will question your sanity.

"Will", I said. Not "Should".

On a parting note, I'll leave you with an article that explains how Christel turned an otherwise normal looking hot chick into a seductive, blue skinned hot chick. Because you were looking for the articles, right?

Domino - Marvel

Domino and her well heeled partner Deadpool

I guess White Chicks are Hot too. Domino certainly is. I mean, come on. Hot body, deadly with weapons, big black eye. What else could you want in a woman? Hopefully not a desire to pull the trigger from a thousand yards away, with her rifle pointed at your noggin. Because this deadly markswoman wouldn't hesitant to complete the mission, if that mission was assassinating little old you.

Yeah, she was the leader of X-Force for a bit until it was discovered that she was really Copycat - another hot mutant who deserves a page(s) of her own. But that didn't stop her from being hot.

She's also had work with S.H.I.E.L.D., but who hasn't, really?

So when I was researching Domino for her post, I came across this video that was edited up by DramaMC. Give it a watch and tell me how hard it was for you before they got involved.

Yeah, pretty hot. Apparently this guy intended on creating a nice little video mashup to imply a certain somethin somethin. Read his description on the youtube page.

And if you got to this page searching Domino, the movie, thinking you were getting Keira Knightley, don't worry. I made the same mistake in reverse, thinking I was getting a movie about the Marvel character when I bought it. This is a movie about a bounty hunter on a reality TV show named Domino. Keira doesn't disappoint, so here you go.
