Outdoor Christmas Lights

Outdoor Christmas Lights

LED Christmas lights save approximately 80% in electricity reducing your holiday energy costs over C7 or C9 lights. The cost savings are just one reason for the growing popularity of LED lights. Its long bulb life is another; on average LED lights last up to 50,000 hours! Also, if one of the bulbs on the string burns out, the others will remain lit - yet another bonus of LED lights. Finally LED lights come in a wide array of colors and textures and illuminate with a unique, vivid glow.

Mini Christmas lights are inexpensive to buy and power, thanks to 1.5 or 2.5 volt bulbs. Xmas Mini lights are available in 50, 100, 150 and 200 light strings. The maximum recommended number of lights in a continual connected string is 350 to 400 lights. Mini lights are better suited to deciduous trees (trees that lose their leaves) and smaller shrubbery.

Christmas Rope lights are small lights enclosed within a rope of transparent plastic tubing. Christmas Rope lights are generally sold by the foot; with the average being a 150 foot roll. Homeowners can choose between steady ropes or chasing ropes. With a steady rope the Christmas lights glow at a constant rate; chasing ropes feature Christmas lights that 'chase' each other along the rope and lights that blink to pre-set patterns. Xmas Rope lights are ideal for trimming windows, doors and railings or outlining an entire building.
Christmas Net lights are great for blanketing bushes and trees with hundreds of mini lights at once. Simply lay the net over bushes or wrap it around tree trunks. Most Xmas net lights come with 150 lights, for a net 24 feet in size. Christmas net lights make it easy to create uniform illumination in those hard-to-light areas.

Christmas Icicle lights are meant to replicate the look of icicles hanging from the eaves troughs. These lights come in a strand of 100 or 150 lights, usually in clear, white or pale blue bulbs. Most Christmas icicle lights have blinking capabilities to create the illusion that the icicles are melting. Hang icicle lights from the eaves trough gutters, railings or fences.

Christmas Spotlights are used to highlight trees, wreaths, decorations, windows or doors. Spotlight bulbs can be white, clear or colored, with the most popular colors being red, green and blue. Strategically placed spotlights can provide dramatic contrast against the night landscape.

Dirty christmas carols

Dirty christmas carols
“Jingle bells, Batman smells, Robin laid an egg...” may be the kind of dirty Christmas carol a kid sings during the holidays. But, the inner mischievous child in many people likes to come out during the season, perhaps as a rebellion against all of the cheerful good tidings! Or maybe more people simply find humor in recreating classic carols with naughty undertones. Whatever the reason, larger audiences are finding explicit holiday tunes top note on their playlists.

Dirty Christmas carols can be found every year popping up around the holidays - and through the year if you happen to like the artist that sings them. Face it, nothing's sacred anymore, and if it's not the traditional Christmas carols being butchered and four letter naughty words added to them, then it's original dirty Christmas carols being sung at the top of people's lungs.

You do realize that we're not talking about the 'Jingle bells, Batman smells, Robin laid an egg?' variety of dirty Christmas carols, right' You do know that we are talking about the Rodney Carrington 'Who put the d**k on the snowman' variations here. Adults tend to let their inner child out to play every so often and when you first hear the dirty Christmas carol come across your stereo speakers, you cannot help but to laugh as the shock value sets in. What's worse is that you know you enjoyed them so much that you're going to go look for more!

These are going to be the Christmas carols you sing for the rest of the season. These dirty little ditties are going to stick in your head and make you smile for no reason and have everyone wondering what is going on - or what you've been doing. Face it, you'll go looking for more because these things are addictive. You'll walk into the grocery or department store and hear the Christmas music playing - sorry folks, but starting to play carols on November 1 would make ANYONE sing dirty Christmas carols - and immediately you're mind is singing the alternate words. Hook, line, and sinker, you're mischievous inner child just popped out.

Of course there are many entertainers, actors, and television personalities that have helped dirty Christmas carols become more known and popular. Larry the Cable Guy has his own medley of naughty notes and even released a Christmas album that was definitely not your 'Bing Crosby sings White Christmas' fare. As a matter of fact, go to any music store during the holiday season and take a look at all the compact disks that are there. You are going to discover that close to a quarter of the selections are adult in nature.

Sacrilegious' No. Dirty Christmas carols are people's way of having a bit of adult oriented fun during the season. When you're stressed out from shopping and wondering how you're going to buy your child the new Wii-GameBoy-Xbox-Playstation999 gaming system that costs half a year's salary, dirty Christmas carols tend to help relieve the stress. Otherwise more people would go postal, including the dude wearing the little red suit. And tell me how red blooded American men are supposed to not think dirty thoughts and sing dirty Christmas carols when Santa's elves are this skinny little thing in dresses up to you know where'

Obviously you do not want your children hearing these nasty little songs. If they do, you may be driving up to the local elementary school and being harangued?okay chastised?by the principal. Not to mention having to explain to your child what d**k is. Or other parts of the human anatomy that is referred to by indecent language that a child shouldn't hear. Hey! Don't look at me! It's not my fault they heard you playing the dirty Christmas carols last night!

Funny christmas carols

Funny christmas carols
Funny Christmas songs are common and fairly popular, especially with the younger generation. However, it was not always like this. Christmas songs have a history going back centuries. In fact, back in 129 AD, a song called "Angel Hymn" was recommended by a roman Bishop to be sung at Christmas services. It was, arguably, the first "Christmas song." Other songs were written soon afterwards, but most of them were written in Latin, something that common people couldn't understand. Thus the songs went fairly unappreciated and sank into oblivion.

Nightmare before christmas tattoos

Nightmare before christmas tattoos
It's a well known fact that cartoons aren't just for kids. In fact, producers of Disney and Pixel flicks have stated point blank that they make cartoons for kids that parents can enjoy as well, since parents are the ones taking their children to the theater and having to sit through the movie with them. They do this by including overt dialogue or hidden messages that will fly right over the heads of children but will entertain and amuse adults, making the cinematic experience easier to enjoy. Other movies, like Tim Burton's "Nightmare Before Christmas" have a primarily adult cult following, the characters of Jack, Sally, the ghost dog Zero, and the mischievous threesome Lock, Shock and Barrel appearing repeatedly in permanent ink. Clicking through the thumbnails of BMEzine's cartoon tattoos section, "The Nightmare Before Christmas" makes up nearly 1/4 of all the images featured there.

Cartoon television shows are popular choices as well when it comes to tattoo ideas. Nickelodeon's "Spongebob Squarepants", "Powerpuff Girl" or the Fox channel's "The Simpsons" and "Family Guy" have bright, humorous or empowering characters that translate great as tattoos. Even video game characters make an appearance, especially the Godfather of all digital games -- Mario, often seen along with his brother, Luigi, or arch enemy, Bowser. Hello Kitty seems to be a favorite amongst young girls, while scenes from Shel Silverstein's "The Giving Tree" continue to show up on the ribcages of young men. The cutesy drawings of emo artist Kurt Halsey have appeared in so many tattoos that I even wrote a hub about it: Kurt Halsey Fan Tattoos

Of course, there will always be tattoos of the standard, original cartoons: Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck, Tigger, Snoopy and Winnie the Pooh. Classic films like "Alice in Wonderland" beget classic tattoos of Alice, the Cheshire Cat and the hookah-smoking caterpillar whereas classic books by Dr. Seuss yield images of the infamous Cat in the Hat.

Cartoons evoke nostalgic memories of childhood as well as teach important lessons. No matter how old you get, there is something about the innocence of cartoons and the characters they portray that will always ring true.
