This Friday night's game between Collingwood and Geelong is huge. Garry Lyon just said it means more to the Pies than it does the Cats. I think he's right. But if Collingwood can get a win it will bring them huge confidence going into the finals.
Players Collingwood is getting improvement from:
1) Dayne Beams. Only in his second year, he is playing with the consistency of a senior player.
2) Sharrod Wellingham. Nice to see a young player wearing the long sleeves occasionally, like a new Gavin Croscisa!
3) Harry O'Brien. Already a good player, Harry has stepped up to "top defender" status this year.
4) Steele Sidebottom. Another second year player who is stepping up, Steele is learning quickly every game.
5) Brent Macaffer. Big-bodied player who is learning the game at both ends of the ground.
