Why we cannot eat in class

So it went like this. We were creating a model of the Greenhouse effect using plastic bottles as an outdoor science prac. Most of us chilled for the majority of the time since we only really needed a time-keeper and someone to record the temperature. By 'chilled' I mean attacking each other with dandelions, walking into mud, sliding down the handrail of the stairs, tieing each others hair with yellow ribbon, laughing hysterically and attempting to catch mints using our mouths.

And we got caught. Since we ate "one mint each" we had to see the teacher at lunch for "one minute." We spent the next lesson thinking "We're gonna be those rebel kids in front of the science staffroom" and "What if he comes out with a clipboard to write something on our behaviour record?" But what the teacher said to us during that one minute was even less expected than when the other teacher came out of no where simply because she was distracted by the yellow ribbon on some guy's hair.

Teacher: Did any of you handle the sand we used for the model?
Us: No.. No.. Yes, I think...
Teacher: Well, there is a certain chemical in that sand which causes constipation. Do you know what constipation is?
Us: Yes
Teacher: Well you must have used your hands to have eaten the food. Have you heard of yoga? There are certain types of yoga activities which help constipation. I highly recommend you to do it. So no eating in class. Oh, and good luck.

Oh what the hell. Is this dude serious, or am I really that gullible?

Anyway, we celebrated Daffodil Day today! The SRCs worked from 8am up until 11 sorting out the flowers and delivering them to classes while jamming to music played on the radio. It was way harder than I thought to organise Daffodil Day. It was even harder because most of us were starving ourselves to finish tying messages onto daffodils while the teachers had their fancy pancy morning tea. My friend Cindy also made these AWESOME yellow super-hero masks. It was cool seeing the school lightened with so much yellow- it's so much better than our typical grey-blue colour!

Thanks to Danielle, Matthew, Elizabeth, Sylvia, Chad, Charley, Jandy and whoever 'Random Acts' is for the flowers. :)

HAHA LOOK WHO'S TALLER NOW

Why I take so long in the bathroom is still a mystery to my parents. I don't know about you, but sometimes when I've got a lot of time on my hands, I just hide in the bathroom and read magazines and books, listen to music or whatever I want to do. People can't just burst in and tell you to stop wasting time that way. It's a pretty ingenious plan.

Well one day while I was doing just that and as I looked up from my magazine, I realised that if I took the flyscreen off the window and jumped straight out, I would be saved by the roof of the first floor. And that's what I did this morning. I walked straight out of the bathroom window and onto a roof, singing the beginning of 'Circle of Life' from Lion King. I've lived in this house for about 5 years and only realised how useful that window and roof is. I can now watch my neighbour's NYE fireworks without the view being blocked by a palm tree, use my telescope, use the exit an escape plan if an intruder comes, entertain myself during the 3 minutes I brush my teeth, egg visitors, and the list goes on and on.

(Painting I / my family bought at the markets. I feel so rich having paintings around my house, but the cold reality is that I only have $40 left for the rest of the year. This means rummaging through all the clothes I was going to give away to save a couple.)

Anyway, I watched Captain America and went to go shopping for school camp. I was also meant to buy a newspaper to get a limited edition harry potter wand today, but they ran out :(. The school gave us a checklist of what to bring to camp, but it's more brief than undies. Here's what hasn't been specifically said on the list:

- Lollies and snacks for the bus ride
- Pen, paper and scissors or nail clippers. You always need them when they're least expected to be used
- SIX pairs of undies and socks
- Lipbalm. Remember that time when your lips got REALLY dry and you kept licking your lips? Now imagine doing that for 3 or so days. You don't want that.
- Thongs. Someone could've peed in the shower before you, or had some foot fungus infection. Then you're gonna step right onto it barefoot.
- plastic bags for dirty shoes
- Toothpaste, toothbrush
- Soap
- DRY shampoo. It's so much faster and easier to use, and you won't cause an angry queue of people yelling you to hurry up in the shower.
- hairbrush

GO green

If you know me, then you would know I'm highly entertained from the smallest things- from attempting to tangle my fingers together, attacking people with dandelions, humming tunes from the Harry Potter films, or even the feeling of dipping my fingers in a bucket filled with grains of rice (ooor it could mean I have a lot in common with Peter Pan.)

I went to attend National Tree Day with a couple of friends not too long ago. If you haven't yet guessed, National Tree Day is pretty much an event where you go planting trees around local areas. A gardening tool for each hand and a few dozen of plants was more than enough to keep me entertained for two hours and a half.

Look at the fourth photo below. It's like seeing double. I swear Henry and his brother look so alike.

I've also recently came to the sudden realisation how stupid the game confessions / truth or dare / whatever you want to call it is. I know I've said that blogging was my number one method of procrastination and time wasting not too long ago, but I think this game can top it. You spend one third of the game thinking of what to ask, and another third listening to people denying things. So because of this, I've come up with a list of questions I'll ask the next time I play it:

- What was the last secret you told somebody?
- What would you write in a love letter- in detail.
- Ever shoplifted?
- What do the last three people you've liked have in common?
- Ever had a frenemy?
- What was the reason why you last cried?
- What's a question you don't want us to ask you?

That's all I can think of right now.

Anyway, I've been rearranging the furniture and decorating my bedroom lately. I'm going to turn into a super neat freak and know where all my belongings are. I even colour-coded my wardrobe. I haven't finished cleaning my room yet, but I should be soon. I promise I'll upload the rest of the photos sometime. I'm probably going to get a new layout sometime soon too. Here's a sneak peak.

I practically made this corkboard in 10 minutes. Although it's made out of fabric, no sewing is needed. All you need is tape, staples and a little bit of glue, and voila! You're done.

And I'm done.

Resurrection

I’m back, I’m back, and I’m back. That’s right. I’ve come back to my number 1 method of procrastination; blogging.

To sum up what I’ve done in the past year and a half is simple- I found happiness, went through a period of laziness and lack of motivation, and then I found happiness again. I guess you could say I’ve made no major achievements since I’ve last blogged apart from making the school office ladies laugh, and usually I’d be freakin’ walking on eggshells around them.

I’m going to have to keep this blog short because I’ve got two homework sheets, an activity booklet, two English essays, music theory work and a resume to write shoved in the corner of my desk, waiting for me to start them.

But before I stop, I’ll keep you entertained with a couple of pictures like an old grandma. I don’t know about you, but if my grandma took out a fat leathery photo album and showed me all the pictures inside like grandmas do in cartoons, I would be so interested that I would flip through the book twice, and then dance all the hibbyjibbies out around the house. That’s how exciting it would be. Photos are a must-must-must on blogs for me.

'Food, Glorious Food!' Backstage during the Oliver! musical. I'm dressed up as a boy from Fagin's Gang if you haven't yet realised.

The best day ever! My best friend Danielle took me out to Luna Park on a weekday as a birthday present.

Me: Why the hell is this ride not working

Her: It's waiting

Me: What? EXCUSE ME SIR, ITS NOT WORKING

Her: HAHAHA DUDE IT'S WAITING FOR THE PEOPLE IN FRONT OF US TO FINISH THEIR RIDE

Last Christmas. Chasing Santa around with a fake knife, fighting over a Katy Perry poster, present-hunting, disco lights, and dressing up in the most coolest Christmas costumes ever. I feel so nostalgic now.

If we ever go shopping for costumes, it would turn out like this. (Hi5 to the person who'd get this inside joke.)
