.:. DivineWood | Design by Herbst Architects .:.

The Herbst Architects, based in Auckland (NZ),  their designs are works of art and I'm surprised how they merge the indoors with the outdoors. I always loved wood walls and floors, also the stone(cabions)/mesh walls. This simple and graphic design, that brings nature indoors, adjust to houses in town as well as in villages.

.:. Benjamin Noriega-Ortiz Interiors .:.

I am becoming an ADICTED fan of interior designer Benjamin Noriega-Ortiz of BNOdesign since I first saw his website. His designs are so fun, funky and bold - either completely bathed in shades of white, or wild colours like pink and turquoise. I think it's a hoot that he uses birds, feathers and fur often in his spaces. AMAZING!

Maison Blanche | a peaceful home

I was going through some interior/design blogs and I found an article about this beautiful white house. Mary Beth Koeth is spending the quarter in Oslo assisting a photographer.  A talented, professional snapper herself she has gone to "summer school". With her are four other students Mary Beth stayed in this adorable summer home in the forest at Nesodden. As she explains, "Robert Kristiansen who owns the home did such a lovely job decorating it. Before everyone unpacked, I went around to each room, styled it and then photographed it."
This is such a simply lovely way to spend the summer.

.:. Will Smith & Jada Pinkett: Inside Their Malibu Home .:.

//: Will and Jada Pinkett Smith showed off their Malibu home for the upcoming issue of Architectural Digest.

“Everything needed to be done by hand,” Will said about the 25,000-square-foot home. “We wanted to feel the love and labor that went into every piece of this place."

“For Will and me this home was always a spiritual endeavor,” Jada says. “We’re very earthy, organic people. We wanted to create a family retreat, something made by hand and as natural as possible, something that ties back to the land.”

Chocolaty Dreams | made by Winnie Lam

I was going through some interior decorating blogs and I found one of my favourite blogger Winnie Lam from California, who made this amazing chocolate bed. :)

Materials: Ikea Fjellse twin size bed, Ikea bed risers, Hershey's muffin pans, space blanket, brown vinyl.
Description: I love chocolate!
That's the inspiration behind Winnie Lam latest Ikea hack: Bed with a gigantic chocolate bar headboard and a drippy chocolate bed skirt. With a bed like this, you'll be dreaming of chocolate without the calories!
How did Winnie Lam make this chocolatey bed, if you ask?
The base piece is the Ikea Fjellse twin size bed, at $39 in the US. To make the chocolate bar headboard, he got a bunch of Hershey's silicone muffin baking pans, attached them onto a piece of brown vinyl fabric, and wrapped the whole thing around the headboard.
As for the bed skirt, he wanted it to look like melting chocolate in a candy wrapper. After scratching his head on what material to use as the candy wrapper, he came across a space blanket which fit the bill perfectly. Tada! With some brown vinyl fabric and a space blanket, he made the drippy chocolate bed skirt.
With the bed now finished, he can catch some sleep and have sweet chocolaty dreams!
See more of the chocolate bed.
