Is my sister cool? No.
Is what my sister doing cool? Yes.
My house turned into a photography studio today, and this all happened because my sister is in the making of her fashion label Wild Hearts. I must admit that some of the clothes she has designed herself are great, but I'll have to pay her for them nevertheless :(. I never got to copy the pro photos taken onto my computer, so I guess we'll just have to deal with my dodgy-ass photos and wait until my sister creates her website.
So a couple of people have asked me if I'm going to follow my sister into the career path of fashion designing. My sister was already passionate about fashion and planned her future career at my current age. A few of my friends already knew what they wanted to be since we had a project in 7th grade which included interviewing persons who has our dream career. I took the easy way out for that project by interviewing an Australian author via email since she was the easiest person I could find to interview who wasn't my relative. Two years later I still don't know what I want to be, although I wouldn't mind being a Saturday Disney host. In fact by Year 12, I probably still wouldn't know what I want to be. I've considered becoming a teacher in the future, but whats the fun in leaving school, then spending the majority of your adulthood in school again?
But it doesn't matter. I'm not a big believer in planning the future. I don't really mind any job as long as it provides me happiness, and how hard can that be? SCHOOL provides me enough happiness and school is pretty bad. The way society runs today sort of plans our future for us anyway- We go to school to go to university to get a job to have money and have kids who will also go to school and the cycle goes on. Cliche as it sounds, I'm more of a live-the-present person. There are a lot of unlikely events that could happen to us, like being a miracle baby or finding your true best friend or becoming the next Justin Bieber, but if you sum it all up then it is highly likely for you to experience one of them. I'm not saying that we should all be careless and inconsiderate of the consequences of our decisions, but if I live life caring about the future all the time I won't realise that one miracle has occurred.
