I finally made me big change from 14 to 15 years old about a fortnight ago. I'm not normally a hateful person, but let me just begin by saying that my birthday sucked. Experiencing a false awakening and sleep paralysis was bad enough! I was pissing-in-my-pants-scared that morning; not literally. I was even convinced that some supernatural being was sitting on me- turns out that at the age of 15 I still believe in my imagination. To top that off, I spent the rest of the day going to English tuition, stressing over a history essay, having my mum seriously believing that I'm turning 14, and ending up cancelling an outing after the realisation that I planned to celebrate my birthday on father's day.
Although my birthday was a horrible start, everything is great now. You can't have a rainbow without having a little rain anyway, and I'm not just saying that because of my awesome presents. There seems to be a pattern in all my presents though- they're all pink. Pink shoes, pink pyjamas, pink watch, garden flamingo (actually it's black but close enough, right?), pink jewellery, pink post-it note dispenser, pink mp3 player, pink pink pink PINK! I ain't complaining though. Pink is awesome, and so are my friends.
To prove that life's cool for just a while, I had an amazing day yesterday! There was a teacher's strike and I ended up spending half of the day with a couple of friends. People who are cool to hang out with. People who still have dandelion fights. People who let me put make-up on them. People who I actually talked to for three hours straight and lost track of time. We even went to St. Vinnies just to muck around with the clothes and all. My friend Matthew tried to put on this pink semi-transparent nightie. HAHA. He didn't even put it on properly and all these old women walking pass gave him the typical wtf-look. One even stopped in front of us and told him 'well if you like it...' or something along those lines.
And here's my friend Brendon. He deserves to look like a drag queen- afterall, he did say that I looked like my other guy mate Charley in an old photo.
Anyway, being fifteen now I have made two new goals. One of them is to sleep early from now on. I probably look drunk during the day. Today I tried opening the locker next to mine, and the owner of that locker was right behind me waiting for me to realise that it wasn't my locker. The second goal is to do the splits. I WILL NOT GIVE UP THIS TIME!!!
