Model Fashion Clothes

On Our Radar: Erin Wasson Designs For Rvca

Erin Wasson will be sketching, rather than catwalking, for her latest endeavor: clothing designer. The model, who played muse and stylist for Alexander Wang's last two collections, will be designing a 2009 Spring collection for Rvca.

“I’m going to get my rocks off seeing girls in California skating around wearing my clothes more than I think I will seeing it in the fashion world,” said Wasson.

The Erin Wasson for Rvca line, which has already had interest from Opening Ceremony, will range from $55 for low cut tanks to $230 for frayed denim shorts. Look forward to a collection filled with cotton tops, denim, miniskirts, and blazers detailed with zippers and thunderbolts. Don't worry, the model doesn't plan on quitting her day job anytime soon: “Oh, no, honey. You don’t bite the hand that feeds you,” said Wasson.

Decorator Fashion Show

Models in a fashion show have to change their clothes all the time to present new items to the public. With AKVIS Decorator plug-in they can take a break - the program applies a new texture and color to the clothes in a flash.

Step 1. Open the image in a photo editor compatible with AKVIS Decorator. In this example we are going to work with Adobe Photoshop. We will apply a new texture/color to the model's clothes and accessories.

Step 2. Select the suit of the girl using any selection tool. In Adobe Photoshop we can use the Magnetic Lasso tool.

Step 3. After selecting call Decorator from the menu of the photo editor, Filter > AKVIS > Decorator.

Step 4. Select a suitable texture from the Texture Library. For this purpose open the Texture Library with a double click of the left mouse button on the box with a texture. We select the Fabric group from the group's tree and choose pattern No.6. Press the button

and see the result in the After tab. If you are satisfied, press the button

to apply the changes and close the plugin's window

Step 5. So we changed the color of the suit, but we also want to recolor the accessories. Let's change the color of the sunglasses. Select the sunglasses using the Magnetic Lasso tool.

Then we called AKVIS Decorator again and choose a green color. Press the button

and see the result in the After tab. If you are satisfied, press the button

to apply the changes and close the plugin's window.

Step 6. Do the same with her necktie. Now we choose another tint of green color for recoloring necktie.

Here is the final result. There is no limit to creativity! As you can see working with AKVIS Decorator is very easy!

x factor 2010 final 12 revealed on internet

well i do not want to know who the final 12 are for the x factor until i watch the x factor judges houses this saturday and sunday, so i am avoiding looking on the internet about the x factor at the moment, as i do not want to come across who gets through at the judges house stage.

but what has happened is the final 12 is leaked on the internet but i do not want to know as i think it would spoil watching the x factor this saturday and sunday on itv, so as i said the best thing is not to look around x factor message boards forums or x factor websites until after this saturday and sundays shows have been on tv and you then know that way.

so i am really looking forward to watching the x factor on saturday and sunday to see the judges houses results and who gets through, also this saturdays x factor see's the return of dannii minogue and cheryl cole.

Today is the 50th Anniversary of the Flintstones premiering on ABC in prime time. Time to celebrate with songs featuring "rock" or "stone" in the title for the Noon Lunch Whistle. The Flintstones was not only the first prime time cartoon, leading to current classics like The Simpsons and South Park, but it also gave us Betty Rubble.

I'm breaking the rules! I can't stand this anymore. I'm just going to blog when I blog. Ever since I officially stated that I was going to blog every Monday with something writing-related, and every Wednesday with Iceland Reports, I've been soooo discouraged to blog that it's clogging my flow. It sort of took the fun out of popping onto the blog and posting something - anything fun and informative that came to mind.

So I hope you forgive me when I say that I'm going to break the rules of staying consistent, and just blog when I blog.

That said, I might be travelling to the USA in a few weeks! Yay! I'm going to raid the bookstores. And the toy stores. And the shoe stores. And just any store I find. We're probably going to Boston with a direct flight.

“Contemporary Swahili" is the Theme of 2010 Competition

16 out of 31 neo talents have been selected as semi-finalist, for the Swahili Fashion Week 2010 Emerging Designer of the year Award.

The selection which was held on 29 September 2010 at the Southern Sun Hotel where 16 emerging designers were selected by a Panelist of Three Judges. The Judges were renowned designer Manju Msitta of Smart Afrika Design Label, Charles Washoma, CEO of African Life assurance and One of Dar es Salaams Fashionable man and Director of arts Nsao Shalua of Baraza la Sanaa la Taifa (National arts Council)

The selected 16 semi-finalist will once again yet undergo an Intensive Selection to select the 8 Finalist who shall compete for the prestigious title during the Swahili Fashion Week to be held in November this year.

Swahili Fashion week Fashion Coordinator Washington Benbella Commented “The response has been tremendous, and the Zeal and zest shown by the amazing talent we have in this country is phenomenal, but the journey of those who weren’t selected should not end here and not give up on their passion”

The semi-finals selections are Zarina Suleiman, Pooja Narendrakumar Jeshang, Abduel Urasa, ShaibMfaume, Annette Ngogi, Mwajabu Sadiki, Diana Malenge, Mgece Makory, Omary Bundalah, Kelvin Boniface, Subira Rahma Wahure, Nadia. A. Ahmed, Angelina Muna, Jacqueline Chipeta, Bumi Musese and Grace Kijo.

The judges were looking at various criteria to choose the candidates based upon the designers ability to sketch, sketch attractiveness, creativity, color and thematic relation.

Swahili Fashion Week is a platform for designers - both fashion and accessory - from Swahili speaking countries to showcase their creativity, market their art and network with their clientele. This is all aimed at promoting fashion as an income generating, job creating industry while emphasizing a “Made in East Africa “concept.

Initiating a dynamic and promising platform for the fashion industry in the region, Swahili Fashion Week is geared towards being the most sought out after fashion platform in Eastern Africa for the international market.
