In the future

THE YEAR 2000! Or the year 2015...

- An extremely passionate blog entry about the futility of war strikes a chord at the UN, especially with the Axis of Evil and African countries. Blogger "MarkYP" is called before the UN to present his ideas for peace, which are unanimously adopted across the globe.

- Carbon emissions are reduced to zero around the world, thanks to the scathing criticism from a group of bloggers known as "The Climate Crew". The Chinese and Indian governments hold a joint press conference to announce their new emissions policies, saying they "couldn't handle the sarcasm and pointed comments from the Climate Crew any more." The Chinese president also said the photoshopped image of him killing the earth with a hose full of coal had struck to the heart of his government.

- Israel announces its decision to disband as a nation, and submit all its citizens to Palestinian authority, following strident attacks on a San Francisco-based blog. The Israeli Prime Minister said the blog entry had made it clear that Israel was completely responsible for all the problems in the Middle East, and "in all good conscience, we could not continue as a country". Palestinians took the opportunity to move into the rest of Israel, which was then promptly invaded by Iran and Syria.

- Tony Blair and George Bush turn themselves in to the UN War Crimes court in The Hague, following blogger "Kane Ryan"'s decision to attack their actions during the invasion of Iraq. Blair revealed Ryan's powerful use of the word "Bliar" (a deliberate misspelling of Blair's last name) was a key part of his decision. "I realised that, for most of my life, I've been a 'Bliar', and it was time to take responsibility for that," Blair said. Bush also praised Ryan for his clever wordplay, adding that while he (Bush) had been to Harvard and Ryan had only graduated from a community college, Ryan was clearly the much smarter man.

- American president Barack Obama stands down before the end of his second term, after a blogger released a post questioning his experience and suitability to be leader of the free world. "I thought I had the ability to do the job," Obama said. "It has now been shown to me that I was wrong." Obama told the world's media that he only wished he had realised he lacked the ability to lead the USA before he stood for election in 2008.

Yay blogs!
