If you’ve downloaded the demo of Lost Planet, you know this is one fine looking and playing game. Some seriously cool effects and tech going on. On the minus side, the costume designs just suck. You can’t really tell in the demo, but the screens out on the web are quite discouraging.
They look fairly functional as cold weather gear, but take out the patches of fur from each outfit and all of a sudden they don’t look as toasty. At first I thought they were just sorta bland and colorless, perhaps intentionally muted due to the extreme planet conditions. Then I was like, naw…they’re just straight up hideous.
In brighter Capcom related costume news, Dead Rising is out next week. Looks like there are a lot of fun costume options to keep the zombie bashing stylish.
